2.FIIO - Jade Audio JD1 / JD1 Type C Review
Let me explain.
Well the JD1 Type C connector is indeed very convenient to use because smartphones nowadays don’t have any 3.5mm port anymore.
But I felt like the technicalities of the JD1 TC is somewhat limited by the chip used in the Type C connector itself. Don’t get me wrong it does not sound terrible but it's just decent or good at best.

3.FiiO JD1 DSP Review: A super budget punch!
The FiiO JD1 DSP stands out as an exceptional value in the budget IEM market, offering a well-rounded performance that caters to a variety of listeners. The unboxing experience is simple yet satisfying, with a well-designed package and quality accessories. The inclusion of multiple DSP presets allows users to tailor the sound to their preferences, whether they favor bass-heavy beats, vocal clarity, or a balanced Harman reference tuning.

4.FiiO JD1 Review (Type-C version)
It is important to keep in mind that the FiiO JD1 is only priced at $27, which includes the audio adapter. Considering its affordability, the earphone performs well and meets satisfactory standards. In terms of competition, the Hidizs MS1 Galaxy, priced at $15.99, offers a similar sound quality and ergonomics, but comes with a superior cable.
Opting for the type-C version of the JD1 has its advantages. Not only does it offer convenience and reduced clutter, but it also provides the option of choosing from five distinct sound profiles. The sound quality is very good and similar to using an entry level USB DAC but the disadvantage is that you cannot go as loud as you wish.

5.FiiO JD1 Review
If the JD3 is the perfect expendable IEM, I’m a bit more conservative regarding the FiiO JD1. Why ? Because, for once, the brand didn’t nailed the mids, which is usually the brand forte. Thankfully though, the bass remains superb – for an IEM in this price bracket – and combined with a good DAC, or even the provided USB-TC cable, the JD1 remains a good upgrade compared to same entry-level IEM.
