2. How many drivers does the JD1 have? What is the included cable?

【Driver configuration】

Entry-level earphones should be well made in order to let more users experience the wonders of high-fidelity sound. To that end, after evaluating many options the development team equipped the JD1 with a 10mm liquid crystal polymer (LCP) dynamic driver. Being both lightweight and highly rigid, this driver is fully capable of providing rich and powerful bass, able to bring out the impact of instruments like drums. And thanks to the development team’s careful tuning, the driver is also highly detailed and low in distortion like a proper set of HiFi earphones, for a clear and natural sound.

FIIO’s asymmetrical internal and external magnetic circuit design has been used in several other products, including the FT3, “Little Conch” series of IEMs, and other products. Now, this technology has made its way into the JD1. Compared to the traditional design of a single internal magnet or a single external magnet, the asymmetrical internal and external magnetic circuits design effectively increases magnetic field density around the voice coil – leading to a more powerful and robust sound as well as improved transient response.

【Included cable】

Included cable comes with HD microphone with in-line controls – middle button used for answer/hangup and play/pause; top and bottom buttons used to adjust volume.

Note:

Volume adjustement is supported in Android devices but not iOS devices.

On some Android devices(some Xiaomi/Hwawei/OPPO/Vivo mobile phones), double clicking the middle button could switch to next track, triple clicking the middle button could switch to previous track.

3. What is the sound tuning style of the JD1? What type of music is it suitable for?

The sound tuning of the JD1 is towards the pop style, which belongs to the category of headphones with omnivorous ability (all-round player).

JD1 has a strong low-frequency ambience and sense of dive, which is more suitable for movies, games, pop music and a variety of soundtrack.

Due to the characteristics of the LCP diaphragm, JD1 has more ultra-high frequency, which can present more details in movies, games and music.

4. What are the accessories? Is the cable interchangeable?

The JD1 features a 0.78 2pin detachable cable that allows ample opportunities for future upgrades.

And the cable is not compatible with 0.78 headphone with flat or recessed connector. But the unit is compatible with FiiO's cable series and Bluetooth ear hooks with detachable 0.78 connectors.

5. What's the material of JD1?

The JD1 shell is made of lightweight design plastic, and the cover material is liquid die-cast zinc alloy.
